The horn is a heavy build which allows for superb energy transfer. This gives a musician the ability to really fill a room with a powerful sound when they need, while still being able to play with a polished sound on soft, subtle tones. The gold brass bell and leadpipe help provide a rich, complex sound with lots of overtones. On the lacquered NYC Trumpet, the specially formulated thin lacquer provides an option to facilitate the responsive and vibrant characteristics of an unlacquered instrument while still serving as protection for the attractive aesthetics. The NYCS (Silver Plated Option - and more traditional look for a pro horn) provides a similar feel, however may be described as slightly brighter.
